One the things that get me about Apocalyptic visions has always been transportation, or the lack there of. Sure when looking at Mad Max or, as I pointed out, Night of the Comet, you see everyne racing around in cars and truck, either a post some armor clad Road Warrior vehicle or a Ferrari.

But how the hell do they run?

Sure you need Petrol but how will you get it? In case of a situation like a zombie break out, you know supplies will dwindle or be spent too fast. You could always siphon gas from the poor souls who may have not made it or maybe the abandoned vehicle here and there, but in the end it would be hard to come by
commodity.

Plus by the other side of it, how could you get around? Since ZY is based in Miami, I know this place would be just a locked up mess of mangled metal from I-95 to the Palmetto Expressway, not to mention the streets. Miami is crowded mess as it is, so for the violent Zombie end of the world, it would just be ridiculous to even consider.

So Bicycles would be the natural choice I think. I mean with the amount of hacks one can do and also ease of repairing, it would come out on top. Believe me, some people are already thinking about it.

Miami geography is also sort of friendly to the bike being that it’s very flat and overall, paved in a lot of places.

Does that mean we won’t see any gas sucking vehicles in Zombie Years? Oh we will, and we’ll see how different folks would rather go around, but our hero Frank has his.
