It was one year, yesterday, that I started on Zombie Years as a new endeavor in webcomics and a new way to flex new muscles in making comics. Let me tell you, I went through all the typical shit of anybody making comics: self-doubt, anger, hatred, suffering, elation, resolve, and finally, a small teeny bit of happiness.

It’s hard to stick to something, but I did, and for that fact, I was happy. I have my beginnings elsewhere in webcomics, and this was my chance to throw my lot in and do it for myself and see where I could go with it.

At 8000 readers a month on average, and the awesome emails I get, I’m very happy with ZY. Sure, I would love to be in a more financially successful place, but every comment I get and every e-mail really makes it worth it, because I know it’s worth it to you, the readers. Thank you all for the support and the love and I hope this next year of ZY is as bloody as ever! -Juan
