“Vehicular Blender” Pg.22
(Wrote in a bit a late since I’ve slept like 4 hours..) For real: 49th Street in Hialeah is like the main vein of Hialeah and just crossing it on foot during rush hour is like a session in the fucking Danger Room.
Been busy with other projects but did read/see some interesting works. Some Quick Links:
+Need to BUY
+I am so digging.
+Not that bad but I feel they were going through J.J. Abrams trash for some of this.
+Other than that, busting my ass with just getting things out of the way for the holidays. URG.

Stumble it!

Yeah I know that series really well! I think it such a bad ass idea, I just hope that, movie or no movie, they keep going with the comic.

WOW. I just came here from Everyday Decay, and just now got caught up with the action so far. Mr. Navarro, you’ve got yourself another fan! The art is nice and loose without being at all sloppy – except of course where it needs to be! ;P Great pacing, great dialogue (thank you for the translations, by the way); it’s gritty, it’s smart, it feels _real_ in a way too many more-”professionally”-drawn post-apocalypse stories can’t match. Thank you, and keep ‘em coming!

Chris,
Thanks so much!
You hit a lot of Nails in the head in your description, so I guess I’m doing something right! And I dig Everyday Decay, being introduced to it by accident and has a regular rotation on my Google Reader.

I came here from Everyday Decay too, but this is one of the best Zombie webcomics I’ve read thus far. Lot’s of action and local color. I get entertained and my vocabulary of gutter-speak gets broadened with every page, what more could a zombie fan ask for?
Your work has some real gritty-ness in it that is hard to find and the fact that the zombies are just freaking everywhere keeps the storytelling tight and exciting. Most of the webcomic illustrators/writers that produce zombie webcomics seem to keep forgetting that it’s the ZOMBIES that make a zombie comic. More often than not I get stuck with a buncha characters running through flashbacks and that just sucks.
You do good work Brode, keep it up.
Oh, and try reading through Dead Winter. It’s an ok read too.

Angelo, thanks for the kind words.
I try to make comics that entertain me, and if I’m not having fun with it, I know you won’t. If it was up to me, I would just do a 100 pages of just zombies eating people but maybe that would just seem like a snuff comic right? Hmm….there is an idea in there…

There is going to be a movie?

Hmmm… Yes and No. I’ve been working with Creature Entertainment http://www.creatureentertainment.com/ on some comics projects and now we’re considering doing some type webisode Zombie Years program for next year. It may not directly link to any of the current character on ZY, but may coincide with the story. We’re currently in post production on another film and currently putting together a Batman Fan Film for this January, so after that, who knows.
