Shit is on Fire, Part 2- Page. 18
Big ass splash page!
One of the harder decisions you can make in comics, especially in webcomics, is deciding how much you’ll show and when. My thinking was that to have a splash page would be a good way to put anchoring point in major events, as you’ll see with this page. Readers could even check the archives and know just by looking, where ZY took turns or showed certain things. The gamble is to make sure the page doesn‘t aggravate those of you who were waiting all week for the next installment.
Now one thing I hope to do in the future is to update more often. Hell, if it was up to me I would update every day, but you know for me, and a lot of web comic folks we have our day jobs and unfortunately, can’t be making comics all the time. Geez I wish I could. But time is a precious commodity these days as well as money. Speaking of which:
I will be putting up a donate button, but only for the support of this site. Little things like bandwidth and such, come into play and right now thing aren’t bad, like rama noodle bad, but they sure as hell ain’t Ribeye good either. I also wanted to use the flow to jump start other things for the site, like mini stories and maybe hiring artist to do covers and such. It’s all to expand the site and get more content up for you all. So any little bit you can give, would be awesomely appreciated.
I am open to submissions too. If you have any fan-art or pin ups and such for Zombie Years, I will gladly post it! I may even make a new page just to house it. Later on I might look for artist to draw the mini-stories on here and present them as extras.
Now don’t think I have no wind in my sails or anything, hell things are great as far as the comics front go. I have some freelance work right now, developing a book for a publisher for next year, and been happier than shit with my artwork. I even have a couple of art shows coming up which I will keep you posted on here.
So I guess this page serves as an answering point for me too? Good. Like that, both you and me can always know where to meet in this crazy wilderness and then I can guide you out. Poetic, eh? You can always find me here and here, and of course here
